During the premier gathering for the global hydrogen community in the Americas region at the #H2Americas2023 Summit & Exhibition, we spoke to global and regional #hydrogen and #energy leaders about the future outlook for the hydrogen industry, including an interview with Brady Ericson, President and CEO of PHINIA.
“Well I think it’s the importance of decarbonizing the world and we think hydrogen is going to be a key solution to decarbonizing, mobility, industrial and other applications.
Well it’s hopefully brining together the hydrogen production, to the hydrogen transportation and distribution, to the hydrogen consumption side.
So we’re trying to encourage and develop solutions for our end customers to increase on the consumption side, that’ll hopefully then bring down the prices and the distribution network as well that we need to support them.
Two big ones for us is going to be the hubs, the infrastructure in order to get hydrogen to where our customers need it as well as the investment in hydrogen to bring the cost down to make it more competitive.
I think key takeaways is this tremendous amount of energy and effort that people are putting in, a huge amount of investment, people are excited about the technology, and we think it’s going to be key to our goals of carbon neutrality by 2035.
From my side just really excited to be here, we think that the opportunity in hydrogen is going to be significant, and we’re here to help customers not only develop new technologies to use hydrogen to reduce the CO2 footprint, but also looking at conversion and leveraging our existing infrastructure that we have in place, so looking forward to working with many folks out there.”
