During America’s leading hydrogen event #H2Americas2024 Summit & Exhibition, we spoke to global and regional #hydrogen and #energy leaders about the future outlook for the hydrogen industry, including an interview with Brad Williams, Executive Advisor Energy Infrastructure, JERA Americas.
“I’m Brad Williams with Jera Americas based in Houston Texas. We’re part of Jera which is the largest power generator in Japan.
I was just on a panel, we were talking about the supply and demand of low carbon fuel especially hydrogen and ammonia, and how hydrogen is becoming a fuel of choice, and how ammonia is the principal way to deliver hydrogen around the world.
Really great to be at a conference like this where you have so many people with diverse interests. You have producers, you have regulators, you have people interested in environmental stewardship very much as Jera is, so to interact with people who you wouldn’t necessarily meet that’s the benefit of a conference like this for me.
Environmental stewardship is a global topic and you think about the work Jera is doing in the United States to produce hydrogen and ammonia, we’ll take some of that to Europe where they’ve got a big demand, we’ll take it to Japan of course, but then other countries around the world that want to use low carbon fuels, and that’s part of what Jera is trying to do, but people come to a conference like this to interact, to share information and to build new business relationships.
It’s always great to talk to people with common interests, and the other panelists were very intellectual, I’m just from Texas, but it’s great to talk to people, especially people in different parts of the business, the value chain. You think about finance from the World Bank, you think about trading from one of the other panelists and then the technology companies like IHI. So, good experience.”
