Aditya (Adi) Mehrotra is a graduate student in the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT. His research interests include precision mechanical design for the engineering of green energy systems, as well as applying mechatronics to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. He is a member of MIT’s D-Lab, and has implemented multiple projects in resource-constrained environments focusing on the empowerment of individuals living in marginalized communities. He is also passionate about education, and much of his research equally focuses on building a better undergraduate experience at MIT, and equal quality education access for low-income individuals. Adi’s work in Hydrogen focuses on developing open-source, hardware-focused solutions that can accelerate the implementation of Hydrogen as an energy carrier according to the IEA’s Net Zero Emissions by 2050 plan.
