Laura Bergedieck is Senior Vice President for Hydrogen Development at RWE Clean Energy, a position she has held since establishing the company’s Hydrogen Development team in July 2023. In this role, Laura leads RWE Clean Energy’s green hydrogen development activities in North America. Since joining RWE in 2019, Laura has held roles of increasing prominence in the company’s market development and strategy groups, including as Vice President of Business & Portfolio Strategy and Vice President of Strategy & Sustainability.
Laura began her career with the global NGO CDP supporting companies in measuring and managing their carbon emissions and has worked for the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) and in economic consulting. She is an expert on wholesale power market operations, capacity market regulations and traditional and renewable generation technologies.
Laura holds a Masters of Science in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Mannheim, Germany.
