Michelle is the President of the Clean Energy business at W. L. Gore & Associates, based in Newark, DE. Gore’s Clean Energy’s mission is to improve life through innovative material solutions that enable the decarbonization of the transportation and energy sectors. Since 1994, Gore’s proprietary Proton Exchange Membranes (PEM) and related technology have pioneered hydrogen fuel cell commercialization throughout major industrial market sectors, lowering total cost of ownership in applications ranging from stationary power generation to global long-haul transportation. Gore’s PEM technology is also a critical component used in water electrolyzers to produce green hydrogen. Green hydrogen produced utilizing Gore’s PEM can decarbonize hard to abate sectors, such as chemicals, transportation, and other heavy industries like steel manufacturing, which generate a significant amount of global greenhouse gases. Gore’s PEM technology is a critical component for hydrogen fuel cells and water electrolysis.
Prior to her current role, Michelle held the roles of COO of the Performance Solutions Division, Chief of Staff to the CTO, and VP of Technical & Business Development of both the General Medical Products and PharmBIO businesses groups at Gore. Michelle is a growthminded executive with a proven ability to tackle complex industry challenges by bringing together industry stakeholders to collaborate and reduce risk.
Michelle is also an executive committee member of the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA) and a supporting executive to the Hydrogen Council. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
