Pravin Mathur is the Executive Director of the Global Clean Energy team at Linde. He leads the identification, evaluation, and development of high priority initiatives in Clean Energy, primarily focusing on the metals, cement, glass, and syngas market segments.
Prior to this role, he served as the global leader in Linde Technology responsible for the development, commercialization, and strategy of Linde’s application technologies to steel, non-ferrous, glass, cement, and energy markets. Mathur is also responsible for global key accounts in the steel market served by Linde.
Mathur joined the company in 1991 and has co-invented post-combustion and CoJet® gas injection technologies for electric arc furnaces. He is the recipient of the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) Tadeusz Sendzimir Memorial Medal in 2022, and he is a three-time recipient of the Charles Briggs Award for best paper. Mathur has published over 100 papers and has 10 patents to his credit.
Mathur earned his Bachelor of Technology degree in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1984. He earned his MS and PhD in Materials Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia in 1986 and 1988, respectively, and an MBA from Drexel University in 1990.
